General Overview about PinPoint

Basically, the point cloud software PinPoint consists of 3 program parts:

PinPoint Registration Tool - import, conversion, registration, cleanup of point clouds
PinPoint Modeler - floor plan, section, elevation, 2D and 3D modeling, orthophoto, meshing
PinPoint Viewer - free point cloud viewer including measuring tool
In the following we would like to introduce the individual tools. There is only one program installation for all three programs.

1. PinPoint Registration Tool - point cloud registration

With the PinPoint Registration Tool you can import, register, clean, level, align, export and publish raw data from the laser scanner.

Import formats: Leica BLK360 G1 and G2, Leica RTC360, ReCap, E57, PTX, TXT, other PinPoint projects

Export formats: PinPoint, ReCap, E57, panoramas incl. position, PTX, unstructured point clouds

2. PinPoint Model - point cloud evaluation and output to CAD

With PinPoint Model you can import your laser scanning or point cloud projects, evaluate point cloud sections, polylines, 3D bodies, unevenness analyses, texturing, elevation points, point grids, meshing, 3D models, floor plans, living space calculations and much more.

Import formats: PinPoint Registration SRF file, ReCap, E57, PTX

Export formats: DXF, E57, OBJ, PLY, STL

3. PinPoint Viewer - free point cloud viewer with measurement function

So that you can also pass on your point cloud projects to your customers, each PinPoint installation includes a free viewer with which you can open every PinPoint project and also use the measuring tools. If you don't currently have a license, simply click the Viewer button at startup, as shown below.
